Personal Introduction 506

I see the mountains every day living in Utah, so there’s something that feels like ‘home’ with mountains. The rock texture is from a picture I took in Canyonlands during fall break when I was hiking with my dad. Whenever I visit someone’s house, I’m always drawn to the books they keep. I think it’s somewhat revealing, so I included some pictures from by bookshelf in the mountains. I like this quote because it describes the way that the process of learning and developing make the world a more interesting place which is something of a personal motto I have as a teacher.

I’ve noticed that a lot of designs that I like use clipping tools so I wanted to try doing something with them. I created a clipping mask for each rectangle, partly because I was doing a lot of experimenting with what I wanted in them, but if I were to do it again I’d group my shapes and create a mask to effect multiples shapes at a time.
